Vice President Operations

Average Salary: $95,000*

  • Direct and coordinate the operational activities of branches or departments concerned with sales distribution, and/or production of products.
  • Plan and direct the budget activities of departments and branches in order to fund operations.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance of a department or branch and its staff in meeting objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction and program improvement to increase productivity.
  • Direct, plan, and implement policies, objectives, and activities of departments or branches in order to ensure continuing operations and to maximize returns on investments.
  • Appoint department heads or branch operations managers, and assign or delegate responsibilities to them.

Corporate Operations Manager

Branch Operations Manager

Warehouse Supervisor

  • Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels, to ensure that activities are performed effectively, and to respond to fluctuating workloads.
  • Review and insure that all work processes are completed and performed properly including daily receipt of all stock, report of damage, short, or overage on shipments, on-time shipment of double-checked orders, and completed delivery of routed material to customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate employee performance and monitor employee time and wages for preparation of performance appraisals.
  • Review the warehouse records system and maintain accurate inventory by monitoring the cycle count process, factory returns procedures, reassembly of robbed merchandise, scheduled ship dates on hold shelf merchandise.
  • Review warehouse supplies on a timely basis to ensure the supplies on-hand will meet the demands of the operation.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner insuring that all OSHA and other company safety policies are adhered to.

  • Cycle count stock to verify inventory records to physical counts, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors; examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
