The need to find right-fit people and motivate your employees to take advantage of future growth opportunities is more important than ever. Because of the generous contributions made this year by companies and individuals to the PTDA Foundation, PT/MC employers are further empowered in their recruitment and retention efforts.

From January 2023 through April 2023, PT WORK Force® has brought valuable insight and resources to help employers maximize their workforce—whether in the plant, the warehouse or in a work-from-home environment—by providing programs and services to assist with talent growth and development. Campaign contributions provide for new and vital programs and research for 2023 including:

• The webinar on “Strategies for Successful Internships,” presented by Norm Clark, PhD, Texas A&M University’s Industrial Distribution Program, is scheduled on March 8, 2023. An ongoing concern of industrial distribution leadership today is attracting, developing and retaining the next generation of talent. This webinar will help PT/MC employers understand the importance of internships, where to find candidates and the process for developing strategies for successful internships.
• Acclaimed American-Canadian lawyer, motivational speaker and author, Lesra Martin, will be address raising awareness of adaptability, resilience and the importance of building an inclusive and productive work culture, fostering growth and success at the 2023 PTDA Canadian Conference during his presentation titled, "The Power of One: Enabling Change, Strength in Adversity Through Diversity." 
• A live concurrent session titled "Building an Effective Compensation Strategy to Attract and Retain Top Employees" when Alex Chausovsky, Miller Resource Group, will deliver key insights designed to help business leaders and decision makers in the power transmission distribution industry elevate their compensation and benefits game, as well as other talent-focused activities at the 2023 PTDA Industry Summit.

The PTDA Foundation recently engaged McKinley Advisors to conduct research to learn "What PT/MC Employers Want" to help with their recruitment and retention efforts. The results show employers are looking for support with their compensation and benefits issues and help understanding how to broaden the talent pool to bring more candidates to company’s open positions. PT WORK Force has begun developing resources targeted toward these high-level needs for 2023.
