PT WORK Force’s Latest Recruitment and Retention Resources

Because of the generous contributions made this year by companies and individuals to the PTDA Foundation, PT/MC employers are further empowered in their recruitment and retention efforts. From October 2020 through September 2021, PT WORK Force has brought valuable insight and resources to help employers build and support a successful workforce. Here’s all we’ve accomplished:

  • You compete with every other employer out there. Download Eric Chester's webinar, Winning the Labor War: Finding and Keeping Good People in Uncertain Times, for proven strategies to be the employer of choice.
  • Remote work is here to stay. Melva Holt explains how your company can thrive in this environment. Download her informative webinar, Maximizing Your Remote Work Environment.
  • Diversity and inclusion deserve to be more than just buzz words used by executives. Michael Bach, founder and CEO of the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion, spoke during the virtual PTDA Canadian Conference about the business implications for expanding your workforce through diversity and inclusion. View his video presentation and read the recap.
  • Wonder what students are looking for in an employer? We asked four students from Georgia Tech University about their expectations. Download the summary from the October 2020 Building Your Workforce student panel session at the PTDA Industry Summit 2020 for their insights.
  • Does your compensation and benefit package meet the needs of today’s employees—especially post-pandemic? The PT/MC Compensation and Benefit Ideas for 2021 and Beyond Resource reveals what employees are looking for in a contemporary benefit package.
  • The future of the PT/MC industry depends on passionate, dedicated young visionaries to drive us forward. This year we are excited to honor the first recipient of the newly established Robert K. Callahan Future Leaders Award during the PTDA 2021 Industry Summit. This award is funded through contributions to the Robert K. Callahan Future Leaders Fund.
  • Integrating essential skills assessments into hiring practices is key to building a well-rounded workforce. Watch the webinar presentation or read the recap of “Using Emotional Intelligence and Skills Assessments to Screen Candidatesto gain tips and insight from Debbie Muno.
  • Supporting employees’ wellbeing is key to fostering productivity. The upcoming webinar, How to Better Manage Your Energy and Feel Less Stress,” led by Cindi Ackrill, MD, PCC, will address why and how to embrace methods for success.
  • We celebrate the valuable contributions made by inspirational women in our industry with the Wendy B. McDonald Award, awarded annually at the PTDA Industry Summit.
  • Remote work is here to stay. The steps outlined in the new resource guide, Virtual Onboarding for PT/MC Companies can help remote workers new to your team assimilate to their role and the company’s culture.
  • Struggling with writing a compelling job description? We’ve got you covered with new and refreshed job descriptions and job postings that are PT/MC specific for positions in Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, IT, Marketing, Operations, Purchasing and Sales.
  • Ever wonder “Why Is It So Hard to Find Right-Fit People?” John Salvadore, GRN Coastal Recruitment will lead a panel discussion with industry HR executives at the Industry Summit. Participants will learn best practices for recruiting and retaining successful hires for vital sales and non-sales roles.
  • We are pleased that 2021 brought so many opportunities to provide tools and programs to assist the PT/MC workforce. We look forward to expanding our content even more in 2022.
Don’t forget that readily available online is practical content and resources.
