Lauderdale Affiliate.  We’ll provide water and a visor to keep the Florida sun at bay as you stroll 3K (1.7 miles) on the incredible South Beach.  Afterwards, it’s a “come-as-you-are” breakfast where you’ll have a chance to hear more about the amazing work being done by Susan G. The Dolphin Encounter program offers an exciting way to learn about and interact with the dolphins at the Miami Seaquarium.  Participants in the Dolphin Encounter program learn about dolphins in the classroom with one of the park’s dolphin trainers, and then wade out into the pool to meet our dolphins.  In this “hands on” experience, you will have a chance to feed and touch a dolphin and learn about dolphin training.

Registration fee include charter transfer, park admission and entrance into all shows and exhibits and thirty minute shallow water experience including touching, feeding and training.

Participants must be at least five years of age and taller than 52” (132 cm).  All participants must wear a swimsuit.  Jewelry and sunglasses must be removed before entering the water.  This program is not available to expectant mothers.  All participants are required to sign a liability release prior to beginning the activity.

Get set for a thrill-a-minute on the best airboat ride in the “Glades.”  Board a modern, safe airboat staffed by a professional tour guide who will lead and narrate the way through winding trails, past the homes of gators and birds galore to an ancient Seminole Island.  Naturally, it’s a picture taking paradise.  After the airboat ride, you will have leisure time to experience some of the park’s other attractions including:

• Alligator and Wildlife Show:  Become familiar with the features of American alligators as well as a variety of other animals.  You’ll have a chance  to learn about the conservation and preservation of one of the world’s most delicate and vital ecological systems and its inhabitants.  To top this off, you’ll get the photo opportunity of a lifetime—a chance to hold “Snappy,” a 2½ foot alligator.
• Gator Island:  View over 200 crocodilian species on their own “Island Resort,” basking in the sun, swimming or just plain hanging out.
• Jungle walking trail complete with observation platform and exhibits:  It’s a mini-adventure all in itself!  As you stroll along the winding Jungle Trail (have your camera ready!), you could spot exotic birds, reptiles, flora and fauna.  Continue on to the elevated Observation Platform where you will experience breathtaking views overlooking the park and the Everglades.

Along the trail, you will also visit an authentic replica of a Miccosukee Indian Chickee Village and discover a culture centuries old.  The story of the Miccosukees has been a story of survival through adaptation.  To survive, they had to adapt to living in small groups in temporary camps.  Fishing and hunting continued to provide mail staples of their diets.  However, they had to learn to harvest the native fruits of the hammocks in addition to the coontie and cabbage palm of higher ground.  The Village is an example of a real family “camp.”  Sleeping chickees and other working chickees surround the cooking chickee with its symbolic star-shaped fire.

Tour includes charter transfer, thirty minute airboat ride, Alligator and Wildlife Show, earplugs, bottled waters and uniformed staff assistance.  This activity takes place outdoors and involves walking.  Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

Discover the glitz and glamour of the roaring twenties and thirties in our nation’s only Art Deco Historic District.  Recall the larger than life personalities and world famous events that re-shaped society, architecture, and even the island itself.  We’ll walk the halls of the first hotel ever built on Miami Beach, and delight at the imaginative and playful art deco lifeguard stands lining the beach like pastel-colored toy soldiers.  Chart the evolution of architectural styles while unique and evocative Art Deco landmarks serve as the signposts on our walking tour to an era that looked forward to the future and celebrated progress, innovation, adventure and freedom.

Tour includes a two-hour exclusive tour conducted by a professional guide and all applicable taxes and gratuities.  This activity involves walking.  Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
