IT Network
This industry-specific network will help you connect with other IT
professionals at power transmission/motion
control distribution and manufacturing firms. Even better,
with the information included in the database, you’ll be able to
refine your networking capabilities by connecting with people who are
working on the same platform as you and may have experienced issues
similar to those you have encountered.
There are two components to the IT Network.
- A LinkedIn subgroup
LinkedIn is an online network of more than 30 million
experienced professionals from around the world, representing 150
industries. Your network consists of your connections, your
connections' connections and the people they know, linking you to
thousands of qualified professionals. The PTDA LinkedIn IT Network
Subgroup allows you to connect with other IT professionals at PT/MC

You’ll need to join the PTDA Group in order to join the IT Network
Subgroup.
- A database of contacts and IT information at PTDA member
companies.
The Excel-formatted database is populated with IT-related
information from PTDA member companies. This will allow you to
find a specific person at a distributor or manufacturer company who is
working on the same platform as your company. Accessible only
to employees at PTDA member companies. Information in the
database includes:
- Member Type (Distributor or Manufacturer)
- Main IT contact name, phone, cell phone and e-mail address
- Company Web site address
- ERP software and version in use
- PPIF user indicator
- PDA-server user information
- EDI user indicator
- VAN user information
- XML capability indicator
