equitable and objective basis for salary administration.

Provide documentation for human resource decisions, such as
training, career pathing or organizational development.
The performance appraisal process includes three phases:

Planning to establish objectives, outline work performance
expectations, define how results will be measured and determine
objective priority.

Monitoring and feedback to provide ongoing informal feedback, both
positive and negative, on performance and progress toward accomplishing
objectives.

Formal evaluation in writing and in a formal review discussion with
the employee.
