Q: How do I purchase a course?

A: To purchase a course, click on the Course Descriptions and Registration link on the PT Interactive Online Web page and then click the Register Now link next to the course name.  After clicking the Register Now link, you will be taken to the shopping cart page.  From here, you can proceed to check out, continue shopping, or remove the course you have selected from the cart.

Or, if you would like to view a description of the course before purchasing, click the name of the course.  To purchase the course, click on the Buy Now link on the summary page.  After clicking the Buy Now link, you will be taken to the shopping cart page.  From here you can proceed to check out, continue shopping, or remove the course you have selected from the cart.

When all the courses you want to purchase appear in your cart, click the Check Out button.  Complete the form on the check out page.  Click the Preview Order button at the bottom of the page.  If you have not entered all required information, the check out page will reload, asking you to complete the missing info.  If all required information has been entered, the preview page will open.  Check that all the information is correct.  Click the Complete Order button at the bottom of the page to submit your order.


Q: On the check out page, what do I enter in the Training Center Login Information section?

A: If you do not already have a training center account, select New User and enter the user name and password you would like to use.  Every user name in the system must be unique.  If the user name you enter is already taken, you will be asked to enter a new user name when you try to preview the order.  You can make your user name unique by adding numbers.  Your user name may not contain any spaces or symbols, only letters and numbers.

If you already have a training center account, select Existing User and enter your user name and password.


Q: How do I get the member discount for the courses?

A: If you are a member of PTDA, click here or go to www.ptda.org/PTonlinememdiscountcode.  Enter the code in the Promotional/Pre-Purchase Code field when you check out to receive a discount on your entire purchase.

Q:  My employer gave me a code because our company pre-purchased courses.  Where do I enter it?

A:  If your employer has pre-purchased a course for you, enter the single-use pre-purchase code provided by your employer in the Promotional/Pre-Purchase Code field to purchase one course for free.  If you have multiple pre-purchase codes, you will need to purchase each course separately.  Each code is only good for one course, and only one code can be entered per check out.

You will still be asked for credit card information even though the course has already been prepaid.  Enter the credit card information and click the Preview Order button.  Your balance due will be $0, and your credit card will not be charged.  We are working with our vendor to fix this issue.

Q:  When I enter the pre-purchase code, it asks me for credit card information.  Why?

A:  A bug in the store programming will not allow you past the checkout page without entering your credit card information. You will still be asked for credit card information even though the course has already been prepaid.  Enter the credit card information and click the Preview Order button.  Your balance due will be $0 and your credit card will not be charged.  We are working with our vendor to fix this issue.

Q: On the check out page, what do I enter in the Company ID section?

A: If your organization has a company account in the training center, your employer will give you a Company ID code.  Enter the code when you check out to ensure that your user account is created within your company’s account.  If you do not have a Company ID, leave this section blank.


Supervisor FAQs

Q: Can I view my employees’ test results in the Training Center?

A: Yes, but you must first set up a company account, called a group.  As a group administrator, you will be able to view reports of the progress of the users in your group.  There is no charge for setting up a group. 


Q: How do I set up a company account or group?

A: On the PT Interactive Online Products page, purchase the item called Group Creation.  There is no charge for setting up a group.  When you check out with Group Creation in your cart, a section titled Company Information will appear on the check out page.  Enter the name of your company and your job title.

When you complete the purchase, you will be given a Company ID code, which begins with the letters “CMP” followed by a few numbers and other letters.  Give this code to your employees, and tell them to enter it in the Company ID section of the check out page when they create their user accounts.


Q: How do I purchase courses for my employees?

A: On the PT Interactive Online Products page, purchase the item called Pre-Purchase.  You can purchase as many courses as you want.  When you check out, you will not receive courses.  Instead, you will receive single-use pre-purchase codes, one for each pre-purchase.  Give a code to each employee who will be taking a course, and ask them to enter the code in the Promotional/Pre-Purchase Code section of the check out page when they purchase the course.  Using the code, they will get one course free, regardless of which course they select.  Only one code can be entered per check out.  If you have pre-purchased multiple courses, they will need to purchase each course separately.  Each code can be used only once.


Q: My employee didn’t enter our Company ID when creating an account.  How can I access his/her results in the training center?

A: If the Company ID was not originally entered when purchasing the course, contact customer support at +1.801.494.1745 with the name of the employee and the name of the company so that we can add the course to your group account.


Q: Do I have to have a Company ID to pre-purchase courses?

A: The Company ID is only used to access the profile and test scores for those connected to your company.  If only one employee will be taking courses or you do not wish to track progress, there is no need for a Company ID.


Q: I want to create a new group and pre-purchase for a number of people/courses at the same time.  What do I do?

A: You can purchase the Pre-Purchase product and the Group Creation product at the same time.  On the PT Interactive Online Products page, make sure you chose both the Pre-Purchase product and the Group Creation product before you checkout.


Q: How long will my employees have access to their courses?

A: Your employees will have access to the course for 90 days from the date they first access the course.


Q: If I pre-purchase a course, is there a time limit for my employees to access it?

A: There is no expiration for pre-purchased courses.  The 90 days access timeframe will start once the user accesses the course either by using a pre-purchase code or purchasing the course outright.
