PTDA Welcomes 15 New Members

Chicago, Ill. -- January 26, 2010 -- The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) welcomed 15 new members in the second half of 2009, leading to a year-end total of 25 new members.

Five companies joined the association as distributor members:

  • Alaska Interior Electric dba Electric Motor Bearings & Belts (Fairbanks, Alaska), a distributor of mechanical power transmission (PT), bearings, material handling, motors, and motor/motion control (MC).
  • Bearing Distributors, Inc. (Columbia, S.C.), a distributor of mechanical PT, bearings, material handling, motors and drives.
  • Bearings & Drives Inc. (South El Monte, Calif.), a distributor of mechanical PT, bearings, material handling, motors and drives.
  • Electric Motor Service (Fremont, Calif.), a distributor of motors and drives.
  • Green Rubber Kennedy Ag. (Salinas, Calif.), a distributor of conveyor belting and power transmission.

The association welcomed six new manufacturer members:

  • C-B Gear & Machine, Inc. (Houston, Texas), a gearing manufacturer.
  • Cone Mounter Company (Englewood, Colo.), a manufacturer of bearing heaters.
  • Simatec Inc. (Charlotte, N.C.), an industrial lubricant manufacturer.
  • System Components, Inc. (South Haven, Mich.), a manufacturer of clutches/brakes and couplings.
  • Techtop Industries, Incorporated (Atlanta, Ga.), a manufacturer of AC motors.
  • Wago Corporation (Germantown, Wis.), a manufacturer of sensors, PLCs and peripherals, data collection, automation & control devices and motor control devices.

One company has joined as an associate member:

  • Datalliance (Cincinnati, Ohio), a vendor managed inventory provider.

Three educational institutions have joined as associate members:

  • Central Alabama Community College (Alexander City, Ala.)
  • Minnesota State Community & Technical College (Detroit Lakes, Minn.)
  • Paris Junior College (Paris, Texas)
