PTDA Launches New Executive Development Conference
Chicago, Ill. -- January 26, 2007 -- The Power Transmission
Distributors Association (PTDA) will launch a new leadership event, The
Executive Development Conference, March 1-2, 2007 at the Woodlands
Conference Center & Resort, The Woodlands, Texas. Designed to
prepare the next generation of leaders in the power transmission/motion
control (PT/MC) for success, the conference will provide attendees the
opportunity to improve their leadership skills, network with peers and
learn from industry experts.
Targeted at current mid-level managers, regional managers, sales
managers, vendor relations specialists and other up-and-comers,
PTDA’s 2007 Executive Development Conference offers targeted
leadership training and provides exceptional networking. Held in
conjunction with PTDA’s annual winter Board of Directors,
Manufacturer Council and committee meetings, nearly 100 association
members—current leaders in the PT/MC industry—will join
conference attendees for an unmatched opportunity to expand
contacts.
Developed by PTDA Membership Committee, highlights of the program
include:
--Workshop on developing a personal leadership advantage and building
highly effective leadership skills, facilitated by independent power
transmission distributor, Dave LaRue of Baldwin Supply.
--Seminar and training session on adjusting leadership styles to fit
various situations and utilizing successful leadership models to
increase productivity with Peter Land, a certified management
consultant.
--Informal networking at Thursday and Friday evening receptions and
dinners, and an optional golf outing on Saturday morning.
