PTDA Foundation Announces 2010 Trustees
Chicago, Ill.—Oct. 23, 2009—The Power
Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) Foundation 2010 Board of
Trustees was announced at the PTDA 2009 Industry Summit in San Diego,
Calif.
Bill Childers, president North American sales, Rexnord LLC
(Milwaukee, Wis.) was elected to serve as the Foundation’s
president in 2010. Barbara J. Ross, director sales and marketing
for U.S. and Canada, Drives, LLC (Fulton, Ill.) was elected to vice
president. John Masek, vice president, Bearing Service Inc.
(Livonia, Mich.) will serve as treasurer.
Three trustees are joining the PTDA Foundation’s Board of
Trustees in 2010:
- Tom Clawser, sales and marketing manager, Brown Transmission &
Bearing Co. (Lancaster, Penn.)
- Gus Kontonickas, retired (Palm Bay, Fla.)
- Keith Nowak, president, MPT Drives, Inc. (Madison Heights,
Mich.)
Trustees continuing to serve on the Foundation in 2010 are:
- Robert K. Callahan, executive director of business development and
marketing, Hitachi Maxco Ltd. (Kennesaw, Ga.)
- Harold Dunaway, executive vice president finance and administration,
Motion Industries Inc. (Birmingham, Ala.)
- Terry Knight, director channel development, SKF Service Division

- Kenneth A. Miko, vice president, BDI (Cleveland, Ohio)
- Jeffrey W. Moore, director North American Sales, Baldor Electric
Company (Fort Smith, Ark.)
- W. Penny Omnès, vice president external affairs and corporate
relations, BC Bearing Engineers Ltd. (Burnaby, British Columbia,
Canada)
- Will Seagren, president, Bearing Engineering Co. (San Leandro,
Calif.)
- Thomas H. Tesoro, vice president sales and marketing, Jason
Industrial (Canada) Ltd. A Megadyne Group Co. (Fairfield, N.J.)
- Tom Wells, director national sales, Gates Corporation (Denver,
Colo.)
Terry Knight will replace Bill Childers as chair of the Industrial
Careers Pathway Steering Committee.
The PTDA Foundation, whose work is funded by donations, was founded
in 1982 to enhance knowledge, education, professionalism and
productivity within the power transmission/motion control (PT/MC)
industry.
The Foundation’s core initiative, Industrial Careers
Pathway®, is a collaboration of industrial distribution
associations working together to recruit entry-level employees to the
industrial distribution channel; develop programs to teach business,
technical and distribution basics; and create affordable resources for
current employee development.
The Foundation is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation
whose operations are funded by tax deductible contributions.
