PTDA Foundation Announces 2007 Trustees
Chicago, Ill -- Oct. 31, 2006 -- The Power Transmission Distributors
Association (PTDA) Foundation 2007 Board of Trustees was announced at
the PTDA 2006 Industry Summit in Boston, Mass.
W. Penny Omnès, vice president, external affairs and corporate
relations, BC Bearing Engineers Ltd (Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada)
has been elected as the Foundation’s president in 2007.
Kenneth A. Miko, vice president, BDI (Cleveland, Ohio) will serve as
vice president. Kevin McCloskey, category manager core products,
Kaman Industrial Technologies Corporation (Windsor, Conn.) has been
elected treasurer.
Additional trustees of the Foundation include: Robert Callahan, CEO,
Regina World Wide (Italy); William Childers, senior vice president
industrial business group, NSK Corporation (Ann Arbor, Mich.); Kari
Groh, general manager, global customer service and North America
warehouse management, The Timken Company (Canton, Ohio); Scott

College (Apple Valley, Minn.); Don Latham, president, Canadian Bearings
(Mississauga, Ontario, Canada); J. Craig McAtee, executive director,
Cuyahoga Community College (Cleveland, Ohio); Robert M. Oberholzer,
chairman, Shingle & Gibb Co (Moorestown, N.J.); Stephen Philpott,
president, Bearing Belt Chain Co Inc (Las Vegas, Nev.); Jeff Pickelman,
CEO/owner, Northern Industrial Supply Inc (Saginaw, Mich.); Barbara J.
Ross, regional manager, Drives, Inc (Fulton, Ill.); Doug Savage,
president, Bearing Service (Livonia, Mich.); and David Witwer, vice
president and general manager, Regina USA (Cambridge, Md.).
The PTDA Foundation, whose work is funded solely by donations, was
founded in 1982 to enhance knowledge, education, professionalism and
productivity within the power transmission/motion control (PT/MC)
industry.
The Foundation’s core initiative, the Industrial Careers
PathwaySM, is designed to recruit entry-level employees to the
industrial distribution channel; develop programs to teach business,
technical and distribution basics; and create affordable resources for
current employee development.
The Foundation is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation
whose operations are funded entirely by tax deductible
