PTDA Announces Leadership for 2011
Chicago, Ill.—October 22, 2010—The Power
Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) today elected its 2011
Board of Directors and Manufacturer Council at the 50th Anniversary
Industry Summit in Phoenix, Ariz.
David Mayer, vice president of marketing, Kaman Industrial
Technologies Corporation (Windsor, Conn.), will become PTDA’s
president in 2011. He succeeds Keith Nowak, president, MPT Drives,
Inc. (Madison Heights, Mich.). Mayer has been active in PTDA
since 1997, serving on a variety of task forces and as the Marketing
Committee chair from 2006 to 2008. He currently serves as first vice
president on the PTDA Board of Directors.

association in the power transmission/motion control industry,”
said Mayer. “The work of PTDA is essential in supporting
distributors to do what they know best – adding value to
customers.”

2011, succeeding Randy Breaux, vice president marketing, Baldor Electric
Company (Fort Smith, Ark.). Kan has served on the council since 2007 and
currently serves as the vice chair. Previously, she served on the
Marketing Committee and Industry Summit Planning Committee.
“I am very excited for the year ahead for PTDA and honored to
be part of the leadership of PTDA as we revise our strategic
plan,” said Kan. “I am happy to be a voice for manufacturers
both large and small. I am hopeful that being in the role will inspire
more women to join our industry.”
