Distributors Association (PTDA) will hold its seventh annual Canadian
Conference on May 29-31, 2008. Devoted to Canadian industry
networking and trends, the Canadian Conference has quickly become a
must-attend event for distributors and manufacturers in the power
transmission/motion control (PT/MC) industry. Top-level executives
and mid-level managers attend the event to build better relationships,
share information and identify best practices.
The PTDA 2008 Canadian Conference will be held at the Fairmont
Château Whistler in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.
Highlights of the 2008 program include:
- Keynoter Michael Campbell, respected author and business analyst,
will present an economic forecast analyzing domestic and global leading
indicators that affect Canadian markets.
- Representatives of the mining, energy and food/beverage industries
will present market briefings as well as a special presentation on the
growth opportunities for motion control products within many industry
segments.
- A special presentation of Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient
Truth” by Anne Parker, climate project volunteer. Ms. Parker
will explain the basics of global warming, look at the evidence of
climate change around the world, explore anticipated changes, address
how these changes will affect us and what we can do to mitigate
them.
- Formal and informal networking with key decision-makers in the
Canadian PT/MC market.
- Social events and an optional ski and golf outing.
The Canadian Conference is open to all PTDA members selling product
