Motion Control Showcase
A new Motion Control Showcase was introduced at the 2006 Industry Summit
and featured 24 motion control suppliers and live demonstrations of the
latest hardware. The showcase was targeted at distributors
considering expanding into the motion control arena, looking for
additional suppliers to support current offerings or interested in
networking with other market players.
The showcase also included a panel of PTDA members discussing this
growing niche and business opportunities. Topics included market
entry points; necessary factors for success, investment, requirements
and inventory management guidelines; and building needed technical and
project management capabilities through training, hiring and/or
outsourcing.
