Build Stronger Sales Teams at the PTDA Executive Development
Conference
Chicago, Ill.—October 14, 2009—The Power Transmission Distributors Association
(PTDA) will hold its annual Executive Development Conference, March 5-6,
2010 at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa in Mesa, Ariz. Now in its fourth year, the Executive Development Conference
prepares the next generation of leaders in the power transmission/motion
control (PT/MC) industry for success. With a theme of “Innovations in Sales and Sales
Management,” the 2010 conference will focus on essential skills
for distributor and manufacturer sales managers, such as coaching,
conducting effective sales meetings, creating sales proposal that sell
and selling more big jobs. Gary Moore, a distribution veteran and author of Objective Based Selling in
Wholesale Distribution,
will once again facilitate the conference.
Targeted at current mid-level district
or regional managers, sales managers, product or vendor relations
specialists and other up-and-comers, PTDA’s 2010 Executive Development Conference offers attendees
the chance to develop tools they will need as their authority and
responsibilities increase. Conference attendees will also have an unmatched opportunity to
expand contacts as more than 75 association members—current
leaders in the PT/MC industry—will be on site attending the
PTDA’s annual winter Board of Directors, Manufacturer Council and
committee meetings.
A past attendee, Jeff Pywell, regional sales manager, Jamaica
Bearings Co., Inc., notes, “I am very pleased to have had the
opportunity to attend the PTDA Executive Development Conference and hope
to do so again. In addition to the training portion, I found the
networking opportunities especially valuable. The entire meeting was put
together well and offered me plenty of time to network with other
distributors as well as manufacturers.”
Developed by PTDA Employee Development
Committee, highlights of the program include:
- An interactive and energetic program
facilitated by Gary Moore, an experienced distribution executive and a
frequent speaker, author and trainer on distribution-related
topics.
- Informal networking at evening
reception and dinner.
- Conference materials providing
take-home value that can be immediately applied at the
office.
